We Demanded a Ceasefire
23/05/21
Over 3,000 Zazim activists demanded an end to the fighting in Gaza at the peak of the most recent round of bloodshed - an escalation in which 213 people were killed in Gaza, 61 of them children, and 13 were killed in Israel, two of them children.
We publicly called for an immediate ceasefire before one more person paid with their life:
“The children in Gaza and the south of Israel don’t have time to wait. Netanyahu has no mandate to continue the war - he’s an interim Prime Minister with no broad public support who’s using this conflict as a poker chip in his coalition negotiations.”
The call went out in Hebrew, Arabic, and English and more than 3,000 activists raised their voices and joined forces to demand an immediate end to the war.
