The Time For Peace Is Now

01/07/24

On july 1st we made history with the largest peace rally since November 4th, 1995.

Thousands of people who filled the arena experienced, firsthand, the hope and inspiration of the event, and now, together, we can continue to spread the word. We're at the beginning of a long, stubborn journey to put Israel back on the road to peace, and we must walk this path together.

Last night's event launched a strategic move, supported by a large array of organizations and activists, all committed to the supreme mission of putting an end to the conflict by a political agreement. We are currently working on the next steps under the umbrella of “The Time Is Now״, and on a cooperative work plan for this year.

After the murder of Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin, the Peace Camp was silenced and soon crumbled to pieces. The political vacuum was filled by Netanyahu on the one hand and Hamas on the other. No more. In these times of pain and mourning, from within the horrors of the war, the Peace Camp is bouncing back and we're more determined than ever. After years of being forced into acts of resistance and halting the right's initiatives, it's time to declare what we believe in, not only what we oppose. It's time we harness all our strength to work for our future here. And Israel has no future, and no security for us, the citizens, without a political solution that will end the occupation and allow the foundation of a Palestinian state, alongside Israel.

Our movement is committed to the supreme mission – putting an end to the conflict by a political agreement. We will continue to expand and grow – until we succeed.
