How We Raised a Black Flag Against the War in Gaza
03/02/25
Since the start of the war in Gaza, our community has mobilized to voice strong opposition to the occupation of Gaza and the ethnic cleansing happening there up until President Trump’s inauguration. Many filmed a short video calling to stop the war, refuse war crimes, and secure a hostage release deal. We shared these videos on social media, amplifying the voices that the media and the government had silenced.
Alongside the videos, we launched huge billboards on the Ayalon Highway. One of them was vandalized, and right-wing groups called for action against our messages, claiming we are “funded by Iran.” But we didn’t let that stop us, and the billboard was reprinted.

We know the truth: our efforts are made possible solely by our activists—dedicated, principled Israelis who are committed to bringing back the hostages, stopping the war, and opposing the policy of ethnic cleansing, starvation, and indiscriminate killing in Gaza, which continued until Trump forced Netanyahu into a ceasefire.
No incitement or vandalism will silence us. Together, we will continue to demand: the war must end, and we cannot settle for a ceasefire that could be broken at any moment. We must fulfill every stage of the hostage release deal and free them all. And we must secure a diplomatic agreement. This is our community’s path, and we will keep walking it.
